Rate my fantasy football team, please:?

12 team league, I had second pick overall; AP went first:

QB: Peyton Manning

RB: Chris Johnson

RB: Jamaal Charles

WR: Steve Smith (NYG)

WR: Pierre Garcon

WR: Santana Moss

TE: Vernon Davis

K: Kaeding

DEF: NY Giants

Bench:

Joe Flacco

Fred Jackson

Montario Hardesty

Chris Chambers

Mohamed Massaquoi

Zack Miller

I feel great about QB and RB, not so great about my WR's, but Terrell Owens went undrafted, is he worth consider? I'd drop Massaquoi for him.

Update:

Yeah, I took Smith and Davis in 4 and 5 i I think i reached on Manning for round 2. White, Fitzgerald, and Wayne all were on the board, as well as Austin, Boldin, and Calvin Johnson.

Update 2:

I know Owens is not with a team, but I'm thinking he will be by week 1. He would make most teams number 2 WR, and he is better then some number 1's.

Update 3:

Messykat...: dam, that made sense. Jones did get picked, but that SD WR is available. Thanks!

Overall, for a `12 team league, I think this is extremely good. Obviously, the WRs are weaker than they should be, but with such solid RBs, this happens. As for Manning being a reach, I'm not so sure. This has been the weirdest season for QBs I've ever seen, with so many changing WRs, or teams, or dealing with suspensions, etc. I have a Top 4 and then a huge droppoff. So any of those 4 I'd take at the end of Round Two in this size league. It's about where they're ranked anyway.

One WR sleeper people are keeping an eye on is Jacoby Jones of the Texans. I would definitely get him if possible, and I'd dump Zach Miller. When you reach for an elite TE, it makes no sense to bring in a b/u for a bye week. Also, check on Naumee (sp?) the San Diego WR. For at least 4 games he'll be a starter with a very good QB. You could dumpt Chambers for him. Another sleeper candidate: James Jones of the Packers. Dump Massa for him. Avoid TO. Even if someone signs him, it's no given this will work.

Well Peyton is the MVP, he's the best quarterback in the NFL right now, chris Johnson is also the best runningback in the NFL and he will carry the titans to the playoffs, now the second runningback isnt that good. Steve smith was one of the biggest surprises in how well he did, he will produce a lot of yards and TDs. Garcon did okay last year, he will do okay, but not a starter in all leagues. Santana is okay also but not a huge producer. Vernon Davis is the best TE in the game which will help you in the passing game. Giants have an under rated Defence because of the bad year last year, but this year i think they will win the division, carried by ther defence. Flacco is a good solid backup, but i would think about trading him for a bttr second running back because he should have high trading value. the rest of your bench is okay, but not that amazing, in a 12 team league, i'd give you a 7/10 because your wide recievers are a little shaky although they might be good, oh and i think u should pick up Terrell Owens, but wait a little until hes on a team, cause u wanna make sure u arent getting someone who isnt gonna play, hope this helps

  • First let me say that messykatt's response is one of the best analyses I've ever seen from a woman. I agree with almost everything she said, other than Jacoby Jones.

    My analysis:

Manning is still top 3 and should have Gonzalez back and healthy in the slot. I also like Flacco as a capable backup.

You can't go wrong with CJ2K but I have some doubts with Charles and Jackson. First of Charles has to split workload with Thomas Jones and both the KC and BUF offenses are dreadful. I think Hardesty will be a non factor in 2010.

I'm not thrilled with your WR core either. Smith is the only 1K receiver there.

Davis is great at TE. No issues there.

    K/DEF Solid picks.

    Rating: 7/10

Well, if you took QB and RB in rounds 1-3, then obviously you'll feel worse about your WR...

TO isn't on a team, so I wouldn't worry about it... but if you want to take a chance, dump Zach Miller, you don't need a backup TE on your roster now.

I assume you picked Smith and Davis in the 4/5 swing? I might have gone for two WR there... but I don't know who was available.

But it seems like a fine draft to me. Nothing special, nothing wrong. If I'm in that spot, I'm not taking Peyton Manning, I'm taking a WR earlier , try to get a Schaub type later on.

I'd say for a 12 team league your team looks pretty good. Yeah your WR aren't great, but none are that terrible, that start anyway. It might be worth snaking TO. If there is no news of him signing with a team by week one or two just dump him and pick someone else up. Pretty low risk for a possibly high reward/improvement to your team.

your bench sucks and tampa bay's protection is suspect. you forget approximately they play interior the nfc south with carolina and atlanta. look on the offensive gamers on those group. there is various things they are going to surrender interior the those video games. none of your bench gamers are going to do something for you. perhaps bledsoe. for the main section they're the two coming off injuries or under performers. so your suited case scenario is to prefer none of your starters get harm. mcnabb performs interior the nfc significant and doesnt have good receivers or a respectable returned. boldin is huge, moss replaced into great, mason wont supply u huge numbers. johnson is huge. bush would be great. witten performs in dallas have been terry glenn gets various the balls and stats. so the starters look exceedingly good.

Clearly its a pretty good team. Get a player with some upside and lose Chris Chambers
