The answer to this question will be more clear if you disclose the details like the domain name, price, etc. Because, .Co is a very new domain extension that came into being just before a few days. So there are many ways you can make use of it. You can go for a hosting plan and then add this domain in your hosting plan. so you can use it as a full fledged professional website (or your personal blog). So you can share your knowledge as a blogger or build an online identity for yourself in the Internet. Also, you can make a simple website and keep it for years to come and then sell using broker services like SEDO at a higher price. But the domain name should be that much promising. The site can be sold for more than 1000$ if it got a page rank of 3 with some daily traffic from search engines. This is called website flipping. Still there are more ways by which you can use it. And listing all of them is not possible anyway since it included more detailed tutorials.

If it had been a useful domain name that many would have wanted to go for like 'designertshirts.co' or something, then maybe you'd have had a good chance of selling it.
1) You have two options. If you had a website idea in mind, go and implement the website (just for fun). Why not start a free social network or something and point your domain to that?
2) List to sell your domain name on sedo.com
3) Wait till a month or so before the domain expires to see if by that time you find a use for it :) If not, sell it or don't renew it.
Funny. I've done that kind of a thing before so I could relate to you :)
