You need to sit down and have a talk with the spider. Tell him that he bothers you and that he can't spy on you in the shower. Warn him that you will call the cops because he is sexually harassing you and that he should simply leave. Sometimes you just got to play hardball with these little bastards!

You have spider phobia
Question: What Causes Phobias?
Answer: Researchers are uncertain exactly what causes phobias. However, it is commonly believed that certain factors may increase the likelihood that a phobia will develop. These factors include:
• Genetics: Research has shown that certain phobias may run in families. For example, twins who are raised separately, in different locations, may develop the same phobias. However, many people with phobias have no relatives with the condition.
• Cultural Factors: Some phobias occur only in certain cultural groups. An example is taijin kyofusho, a social phobia that appears almost exclusively in Japan. This is a fear of offending or harming others in social situations. It is markedly different from a traditional social phobia, in which the sufferer is afraid of being personally embarrassed on humiliated. It is therefore possible that culture plays some role in phobia development.
• Life Experience: Many phobias are based in real-life events that may or may not be consciously remembered. A phobia of dogs, for example, may stem from being attacked as a small child. A social phobia may develop from teenage awkwardness or childhood bullying.
It is likely that a combination of these factors must be in place for a phobia to develop. However, more research is necessary before a definitive conclusion can be reached.
What can be done about phobias?
In order to cure a phobia (which is usually surprisingly easy and painless) we need to change the experience on an unconscious level.
Simply put, the person needs to be able to treat the phobic object in the same way as they would any other everyday object. The best way to do this is to keep the person relaxed whilst they imagine the phobic object. Hypnosis is extremely useful to keep the person relaxed whilst doing this.
This process is called 'de-conditioning', and it simply changes the association a person has with the phobic stimulus.
When dealing with non-specific phobias, the person often needs a combination of de-conditioning, cognitive anxiety management techniques, ongoing relaxation and gradual exposure to the problem situation, such as going out of the house.
You can just imagine a small little spider that you can't even see normally and then after you are not afraid of a little spider imagine a bit bigger that's all and after you are not afraid of a normal spider imagine that it is on you it's the best way without any screaming and crying when you see a real spider it can take to some years but it's the best way it helped for me but I wasn't so scared like you but still it helped now if I see a spider near my face I just take a shoe and squash it it's not too scary for me now, you better get started because spiders live everywhere in forests in houses in flats so you will see then all your life I know how you feel because I was afraid of them also but not anymore so go out there and kick some spider butt:D because they are just too little to kick yours:)
I hope this will help you get rid of this spider phobia:)

If its on a towel, pick up the towel by the other end and dump the towel in the sink for now. After your shower, you can either move the towel to the shower or leave it for someone else to deal with.
Spiders don't move that fast. You can pick up the towel without it touching you. You can even use the towel to kill the spider, then wash it later.
The best way to defeat a spider fear is learn about spiders. Learn to identify them and what they eat. Most eat insects we hate worse (like flies, fleas, aphids, mites, beatles, and even cockroaches). Very few can bite humans and they are easy to identify.
I am not suggesting you go to extremes and actually handle spiders or have some as pets, but facing your fear and learning about what you fear will help you to control it. Right now the fear is controlling you.

I used to be the same way exactly. I was freaked out by even the smallest spider, like i would start crying hysterically and everything. Then i spent a week in Kentucky and they're EVERYWHERE so i got used to killing them. Now that i'm home i've found it really helpful to just get mad at it instead of being afraid and go attack it instead of waiting for it to attack you.

I have a similar problem as I am deathly afraid of ALL CAPS. Thanks for aggravating my condition.
Spiders aren't a big deal anyways. Most of us had one crawling on our bodies as we slept, and they are mostly harmless. Just imagine them, big, black and VERY hairy. Just crawling up your back as you lie there, completely unaware.

Learn more about them and you'll be less afraid.
Most are harmless and are more afraid of you than you are of them. They try to get away from people.
Plus, they eat bugs, so they are our little helpers.
