What was the most surprising death of 2009?
This is probably an outdated question, but, in your opinion, what was the most surprising death of 2009? We know tons of famous people died, but which one was the most shocking? Also, if someone you know died last year you can add them :)
Mine would be (for famous people): Michael Jackson or Patrick Swayze
Mine would be (for people I know): My great-Grandmother. She died in Italy, her home country, last May. I never got to meet her.

The true heroes who died, died serving their country. Military, police, fire fighters and EMS personnel.

The most shocking death would be Michael Jackson's. He looked so healthy. No one in my family died last year luckily. I think it's really sad you never got to meet your great-grandmother though.

Michael Jackson. I didn't even believe it the first time I heard that. I just thought it was some random media thing before I got to school and our teacher made us watch a whole news story on his death :(
My sister's friend's family got murdered while she was away last year as well :(

i mean i would of believed it if i saw it on tv first but the way i found out was through a text
so when i actually saw that he had died was surprising

Brittany Murphy defo. MJ + Billy Mays have been previous, they might have long previous at any time, yet Brittany Murphy is like 30(?). there remains 2 days left of 2009! (till you reside in oz..)

definitely when Mike died, cos we all grew up to him and we never thought that he'd die so young with so much talent left in him. that was shocking. i even shed some tears, something i thought i wouldnt do. its a shame the only time you actually appreciate someone is when they are gone.
