1999 Chevy Blazer Problems?

I own a 1999 Chevy blazer, four wheel drive, with 109,000 miles. One day I started my vehicle up and a loud squealing noise occurred. The noise is very faint when idling but as i accelerate the squealing get louder. Also, shortly after this problem occurred, I began to have trouble accelerating when I would shift from park or reverse to drive. the problem would continue for about 1 to 2 minutes. After the initial problem, the vehicle usually has little or no trouble accelerating. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

It sounds like your transmission is slipping. How are the RPM's?

Either way, might be time to get rid of the car.

I had my serpentine belt snap when mine did that. Get it fixed, it should only be $100
