Astronomy careers??? Any ideas?

I am interested in astronomy and though I know that astronomy careers are hard to come by and not in demand, it would make me happy, and to me, that's all that matters. I have always wanted to teach astronomy at a university. What would I have to major in to do this, and how much would it pay. I think it would be fun, do you? Are there any other careers similar to this that I might enjoy?
