when painting plastic in what order should you use paint, primer, and varnish gloss?

Plastic? What is it? Chair? Table?
If you want it light, you'll need to paint it a few times.
Same for dark.
Primer is mostly for wood and metal. I wouldn't use it on plastic unless it's stained or has debris on it.
Gloss can be used but paint should do the work.
