Toilet training puppies?

We have a fabulous litter of 7 staff puppies. They are nearly 6 weeks old now and I was wondering how difficult it would be to start the toilet training with them before they leave us in a few weeks time.Training our 1 dog was pretty straight forward, but where do you start with 7? Any advice will be gratefully received.

Update:

They sleep in a crate which is 4 foot by 3 foot so they have plenty of room to move around. We have half covered in newspaper and the other half is a cotton sheet or sometimes sawdust but at the moment they just poo and wee anywhere (then roll round in it and play in it) so I am forever changing it.

I would recommend that you take each puppy outside after every meal and nap.

Make sure lots of praise when they do finally go outside the puppy will soon learn.

However puppies under 8 weeks of age should not really be going outside as they are not fully immune to any diseases or illnesses.

at 6 weeks their mother should still be cleaning up after them.

You appear to be proud of the fact that you have a litter of staffies instead of embarrassed or ashamed.

Staffies are THE most over bred dog in the UK and half fill every all breed rescue in the country. There are thousands put to sleep as there are not enough owners for them. Even the biggest rescues in the country put approx. 1/3rd to sleep.

Therefore finding GOOD homes for them is going to be difficult so you could find they are with you for weeks and weeks yet, so it might be a good idea to try and get them potty trained.

Best of luck - you'll need it.

Do make sure that you insist these dogs are brought back to you at any point they ever need rehoming so that your pups do not end up in a shelter and put to sleep. The shelters have no choice with the amount handed in.

Wow! I've never had to train more then one at a time either. I think that puppies kind of follow the leader so I believe as you work with them they would learn by watching the others.

Maybe one pup at a time? Then just train him/her like what you did with your dog.

    Hope that helped :)

To juicy: do you even know what she means by toilet training?

How in the world do you expect them to climb up on a toilet? I've heard of cats doing that but they can jump. Dogs wouldn't be able to do that I don't think. They have terrible balance.
