Out of all the dugout brawl's we have seen this season, which one do you think seem to make the biggest impact?
On friday june 25th, Carlos Zambrano and Derrick Lee got into a dugout fight after Lee couldn't catch the ball and Zambrano gave up a base hit. Zambrano was sent home from the game after-wards for his actions. A few days later Evan Longoria and BJ Upton got into a dugout fight after Upton loafed on a ball and Longoria confronted him about it and BJ went nuts.
On friday, Chone Figgins and Don Wakamatsu got into a dugout fight after Figgins refused to hustle getting a ball. Figgins was removed from the game after-wards.
Now we all know dugout incidents are bad for teams, but they can also help spark teams as well.
My question to you is which dugout confrintatation proved to be the most effective?
Here's a few links to the dugout fights:

I was gonna ask a question about this actually... it was more more Seattle specific since that fight did seem to me at least to change things over there... glad I didn't yr question is better...
Cubs: At least Z is getting help, he needs it, he is a great pitcher but his emotions greatly limit his ability.
Rays: That fight certainly turned it around fr them, they were sliding away at the time and they came around after that. Its good to see Longoria take a leadership role.
Mariners: This fight is the one that I think has the biggest change. Just before the fight Joe Castiglione, the Red Sox radio play by play guy said, "Wakamatsu looks like he might have lost this team."... and then a bit more about how they coast through plays and make careless mistakes and the whole Griffey Jr. drama... and then the inning ended and they came back from the break and they were talking about the fight, I was shocked to find it was the manager in the fight...
On the real here, that changed them, they played his way the last two games and beat the Red sox even though the Sox are playing like poop right now, Seattle did earn those wins and Wakamatsu was the guy who lead them there, they bunted and hit and run and he completely out manged the Red Sox... Figgins was on fire today... now this is a small sample size however...
Who the heck fights the manager? Chone Figgins, yr an animal!!!
BQ: Dice, Beck, Lackey and that's it... Lester blew it, he shouldn't have been thinking about the perfect game or no no or K record or whatever and just pitched the game... if he does that, then he doesn't get too creative and throw a curveball in a 2-2 count to a young left hander batting 9th with a BA under .250 with a guy on base, get a friggin grounder there guy... but I digress... Dice, Beck and Lackey have been great!!!! Rest of the team, not so great... not so great.

I say Longoria vs. Upton. Even though Longoria was just trying to help, if I was Upton I would be annoyed with that. I do think that Longoria was just trying to help and I do think that he was very mature with the situation. I think this little argument between the two might make the team better because I think none of them want Longoria telling them to hustle because it sort of is like being shamed. Do you get what I'm saying? I don't know if I'm making any sense. I also agree with you're statement that dugout incidents can also help spark teams.
BQ: The Mets haven't been having a great second half but I would say Bobby Parnell.

Defidently Evan Longoria vs BJ Upton. That shows class on Longoria's part, that he was able to tell another teamate that he needs to hustle after the ball. But he didn't let it get out of hand like the Carlos Zambrono incident. And I like player to player the best becuase they are playing with each other, and they should know when to confront another teamate, and this provides the most effectiveness.

Longoria and Upton. I think that Longoria is now the leader of that team. He did like a true leader would do and talked to Upton about his problem and he didn't fight back after Upton got mad.
BQ: Danny Worth.

um...none of those were brawls but the longoria and upton was the biggest because bj is just a lazy player who thinks he can do whatever he wants since tampa doesn't have someone good enough to start everyday over him

For me its gotta be the Figgins and Wakamatsu brawl because it defines the type of season the Mariners have had all year long. Sub-par hitting, horrid pitching, and sluggish play all have plagued the team and maybe Wakamatsu's yapping is what the Mariners need to break out this perpetual funk that they've found themselves in.
BQ: Definitely Cliff Lee

I think the Lee and Zambrano had the biggest impact. It seemed to officially declare the end of the season for the Cubs and the slow end to Pineilla's career. I also think it is also just a matter of time before the Big Z is gone too.

In my opinion it's Longoria vs. Upton.

None because its having a temper tantrum. Temper tantrums don't solve anything. And for kids that look up to these people will do the same if they don't get their way. Those are things that a 2 year old does when they don't get their way.
