Actually Mama Leone's has been closed for a long time and The View isn't worth the price for dinner (however, I would recommend going for drinks at The View). Without knowing what type of food you are seeking and in what area it's a bit tough to give you a recommendation, but, here are a few:

    Rosie O'Grady's

    St. Andrews

    Smith & Wollensky

The View Rotating Restaurant- I believe its inside the Marriott Marquis Hotel- its the only rotating restaurant in NYC. Expensive but QUITE nice.

Jim, There are thousands of restaurants in the Five Boroughs of New York City. Depending on your taste, your budget and your preferred location, may I recommend the link below.

http://www.menupages.com/ -- MenuPages.com is the one of the best website on the Internet. It included menus with prices, as well as restaurant reviews.

    Good luck and Bon appetit!
