Opinions on this trade?

Rasheed hasn't officially retired yet (or so I've heard), so they can still trade him and then he can just retire with whoever he is traded to so that part works. Ignoring the no Okafor problem, this is an iffy deal. Battier fits well on the Celtics but I don't know why the Hornets or the Rockets would let the Celtics take him without contributing anything else to the deal. It saves the Hornets from having to pay him for the last season of his deal but that's really the only reason.

Also, it's more than a little hard to believe the Hornets would dump CP3 purely for an expiring contract. Even one as big as Yao's and even if picks were involved.

If New Orleans does decide to trade Paul they're going to trade Emeka Okafor's contract with him. Plus Rasheed Wallace has retired.

Fail. First of all, Rasheed Wallace retired. Second of all, why the hell would the Rockets give away Yao Ming?
