How do you repair vaper lock in cars?
When it gets hot the little 1990 acura integra seems to suffer from vaper lock.
Is there a simple repair that will fix it?
Sorry, I should have said that 'sometimes the car won't start, particularly when it's hot. The last time we had a fuel filter replaced. But, it's happening again. I discussed the problem with a machanic and he said it must be vaper lock. The engine sounds like it's really trying to start but it just won't start.

If you have a carburetor lubricate the butterfly air valve, get a bottle of carb cleaner that goes in to the gas tank but read label that it states to go into fuel tank

nope, open the fuel cap, thats all you can do...unless you get a brand new exhaust and engine.
