What could be said in Blago's defense?

the whole system is corrupt...blago was just not bothering to hide his corruption. But how can they accuse him of pay to play when the whole american system is designed on pay to play?

I'm saying the jerk is too dumb to be believed, whatever he said or did has as much significance as a kid playing Cops and Robbers.

You know, the FBI had him taped for five years before arresting him and charging him, about ten days after he supposedly tried to sell the seat, it just reminds me of people who go around talking about killing someone, and the person gets killed and they become the prime suspect, not because they did it, but because they said they wanted to. But wishing isn't doing and no money changed hands, in fact no one even says they had a price set. Blago is a moron, I can't see him doing more than shooting off his mouth and wondering what it would be worth.

If there is a whole story, it might be along the lines of the gang that couldn't shoot straight.
