Fire brick in San Antonio,Tx?
Does anyone know of a place where they sell inexpensive fire brick in San Antonio,Tx? I found some for $1.30 ea. but I need 90 fire bricks for an outdoor fireplace and bar-b-que.

not sure where to find them but they make splits that are 1 1/4 in. x 4 1/2 in. x 9 in. , they should be cheaper...look for a woodstove shop in your area...i used firebrick in mine because i do refractory work from time to time but a solid red brick has already been fired to 2000 degrees when they make them and should hold up in a cooker where temps arent that great...
