turn off the computer(s), router and modem. Wait one minute, turn on the modem, router allowing one minute for each to stabilize before turning on the next. Connect your wireless computer using an ethernet cable to the router, restart the computer. If you can get on the internet, good. Disconnect the ethernet cable, enable your wireless adapter. Try to access the internet, if you get in, good. If not, open your router setup. Verify that the wireless feature is enabled. Verify that the router antenna is connected securely. If still no luck.
Note:Resetting the router will return it to it's 'out of the box' settings passwords and any custom settings will have to be erased.
Reset the router. The reset button is generally found inside a hole on the back side of the router case. Press and hold the button for one minute using a paper clip or toothpick.
All of the above failing to get it going again, your router may have died.

If your laptop shows no available networks, the problem is your nic. If other networks show up, but not yours, then power off your router and wait 30 seconds before powering it back up. If you still can't see your network after that, then the router will need to be replaced.
