The now closed BP well is exerting a pressure of 6,937 lbs/in^2. What is producing all this pressure?

Is there lava or something else under the oil pushing up?

    I do not know geology, my guess it could be hydrogen gas from bacterial decomposition of the oil. It really is amazing, they are under a mile of sea water and still the oil pressure is so high it can push its way out.
