HELP my leopard geckos eyes are completely black !?

you used to be able to see the yellow (like you could see blue or brown in a humans eye) you could see yellow . but now for a few days its been completely black! idk what to do. the guy in the reptile deparetment at petsmart said his eyes might just be fully dilated, but idk. he cant sense movement. like i wave my hand in front of him, and nothing its like he cant even see. if i did that before, he would flinch. now nothing.

pics of him:

please help?

FYI: hes about a year or so. i used to feed him only mealworms for like a month, but today i switched back to crickets dusted in calcium powder. his eating habits have changed since his eyes went black; he used to like hunt for the food as it ran away, now i have to tap his mouth with the cricket or else he wont even notice its in there. and once he does , its like he cant find it or see it i have to keep tapping his mouth with it.

Petsmart is not generally the best place to go for veterinary information. Neither is yahoo answers.

This could be nothing, or it could be serious. But if it can't see, you should probably investigate.

Bring your gecko to a vet. It's the safest choice. Here's a list of vets that treat reptiles.

My gecko had the same thing with one of her eyes for a little while. She had sheded shin stuck in her eye. Do u have a humid hide in the tank for yours? It can be very helpful in making sheding easier for them. Also reptile eye drops can help get ride of infection. Flucker's Reptile Eye Rinse is what I use. When mine was like that some sheded skin was visible, I used a cutip to shift it enough so it was loose enough for her to lick out. But I don't she any sheded skin in the picture. I advise that you take your gecko to a vet. Good luck, I hope he gets better.

if you are the same person then i answered your previous question and said that the eye was possibly going to fall out but seen as it has now happened to the other eye without it starting as an infection then im pretty sure that it is not the same as what happened to my gecko.

if the eyes were going to fall out then they would have fallen out by now.

it could be that the gecko has banged its head and become blind because i think if you go blind your eye goes black im not sure on this one.
