Would you wear a wedding dress like this on your big day?
I've been married for 21 years so I'm not searching for a wedding dress for myself. I was browsing through wedding dresses online mostly to see how radically wedding dress fashions have changed over the years. I thought this particular dress had that "wow" factor but I'm think others may have a different opinion on what they like. If you wouldn't wear this dress on your wedding then tell me what you wouldn't like about it. I wondering what young women like nowadays. Thanks.
It's also available in solid white without all the silver that this one has.

To the people saying it looks like a t-shirt: in some faiths, such as Baptist or Mormon, you are not allowed in a church or temple with a strapless or spaghetti-strap dress, so the industry has to make dresses to cater to these modest brides.
But to answer your question, no, I wouldn't have it for myself, not because of the top, but because I do not like wedding dresses that look like meringues. I prefer simple looking gowns, such as a retro tea-lenght dress, or even a long flowy white sundress.

I would wear it if I were having a very formal wedding. The current trend is strapless dresses, but I'm not a fan of them. I like this dress because it is more modest and probably more flattering to most figures.

I personally hate the strapless trend because it only flatters slimmer women. If I see one more woman of my size squeezed into a strapless I may scream.
So I personally really like your choice, it's modest and classy while still having the wow-factor with the crystals and beading. Don't think you have to look like every other bride- you'll regret compromising yourself and what you want for no reason.
Good Luck!

I think it's pretty but I wouldn't choose it for my wedding dress because the top reminds of a t-shirt to much. But the over all style is very beautiful.

I do admire it a little, but I wouldn't wear it, it's not for me.
Why?
I feel the ruching or belt (whatever it is) draws the attention straight to the hips. I would rather attention be drawn upwards.
I don't like the button tie-up.
I don't like the silvery design on top.
I don't like the neckline.
I think the back view is horrible.
Overall, I do like the shape and the t-shirt style up top.
These are more to my taste:

Im only 14, but I wouldn't wear this dress. The top looks like a bedazzled tee shirt that was sewn onto the bottom of a wrinkled sheet. This is just my personal opinion, but I wouldn't wear this dress on my big day.

I don't typically like gathers on the bottom, I think it makes dresses look like an unmade bed. I am not crazy about the dress you've selected, the top looks like a t-shirt and the bottom reminds me of a duvet.
This is the dress I'm getting http://salonbetty.sk/uploads/images/Gallery/saty_m... Normally I don't like gathers at all, but because they're so light on this gown it gives it a fairy tale feel.

I think that it is very pretty, but I personally wouldn't wear something like that. I am a fan of the simpler dresses, so whilst that dress is gorgeous, I would personally want something simpler for my big day :)

I'm a fairly conservative person and even I think this dress is too modest. It's pretty - the detail work is beautiful but the sleeves are a bit too much for me and there isn't anything special about the cut of the bodice. Remove the beading and it's not much different from t-shirts in my closet.
For a temple dress, it might be perfect, but I'm not Mormon so it doesn't apply to me.
In short, I think it's pretty, but much too conservative for my taste.

I really like the top part, but the bottom part is too messy for me. I think most modern brides wouldn't like a dress like this, because it won't allow their cleavage to pour out
