I removed it from someone's computer once. Antivirus GT is a fake anti-virus application that spreads usually by Trojans. Once Antivirus GT is inside a system it will display typical for that type of scam fake scanners, pop-up warnings and/or security alerts. This often tricks a victim into believing that his/her system is infected with malware other than gt ;). Then the victim will be prompted to purchase the “full version” of Antivirus GT in order to remove all the detected malware. Do not fall for this scam; the “full version” of Antivirus GT does not seem to exist and all security notifications displayed by this unwanted software apparently fakes.

Antivirus GT used to create the following registry entries:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “AntivirusGT”

if it exists in your registry delete it and reboot
