Why is it ok to call Michael Jackson(proven innocent) a pedophile but not Elvis Presley?

He was said to have had his was with lots of underaged teenage girls. And poor little MJ, was attacked unmercifully.

In this article :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relationships_of_Elvi...

So why do people, just because they don't understand Michael, attack him and not Elvis's wrongs ?

I don't why. I think it's mostly because Elvis image way the bad-boy lover that everyone wanted. Michael never expressed himself as a "bad-boy" and always kept a clean record therefore what ever he does is going to be in its own spotlight, which is the reason why more people pay attention to Michael and the misunderstanding than Elvis and true fact. Also mostly because Priscilla Presley never made her relationship with Elvis a huge problem like she was forced into it, she showed interest in him and showed that she loved him. Unlike the little boy who claimed Michael had touched him, who made it a big problem. The biggest reason that Michael is attacked more is manly because he hasn't once said "Yes, I rapped him" or "Yes, I touched him without permission."

There was nothing to admit and because of this Michael was always bothered always followed, Elvis made it known that he and Priscilla were dating and were interested in each other therefore he wasn't bothered as much about it.

Another key reason this was such a big problem is of course racism. Michael Jackson is probably the most known African-American on the planet and therefore people want him to screw-up. They want him to be abusive, or to end up in jail or to go "ghetto" on someone, which is a tactic Obama has also learned of (Notice how he never gives a quick response to the Press question and that he always stops to think it over.) Being that Michael has just about the cleanest record ever he is a primary target.

Michael is the greatest entertainer, humanitarian and influence of the modern day which makes him a primary target for the press who will always try to stick a label on him. Trust me just because he's dead doesn't mean the hunt on MJ dirt is off. He will be attacked for as long as he will be remembered and that's a fact.

Actually I do believe it does have to do something with the race they were. And I also think this is mostly the media's fault why? because Michael was always against the press and said not to read their stories so the media probably started trying to make him look bad instead of people seeing the real truth behind these lies and scams.

In fact the media made up most these lies and never mentioned that Michael has No Proof at all of being one.

OMG! I didn't even know that!

I read this article >>>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Jackson's_hea... about Michael Jackson just yesterday and it said that he stopped eating because he was so hurt by the accusations. Hearing this about Elvis just makes me so mad! Maybe it's because Elvis was white so he got "let off"...I'm not too sure but that's the only explanation that come to mind.

Before, Elvis was "The King of pop" and since he was white, the press was fine with it, but since Michael Jackson earned the title "the King of pop", the media turned his life into a living HELL! I don't know how people can be so cruel...

"Even at home, I'm lonely. I sit in my room sometimes and cry. It's so hard to make friends... I sometimes walk around the neighborhood at night, just hoping to find someone to talk to. But I just end up coming home." >>> This part of the article really got to me because I often feel lonely and want someone to talk to... and I don't really judge people but they still judge me...

I agree with the other MJ fans. It was because Michael was/is a famous black superstar. You know how the white media is. They always try to bash any really famous black superstar they can. Theyre jealous and dont wanna air dirty laundry on Elvis cause he's white so they make up dirty laundry about Michael Jackson which was completely untrue. So people have the right to call MJ a pedophile when he was proven innocent and they dont have the right to call Elvis one because he was guilty? That's complete bullsh!t. People do your research.

Michael was such an innocent, loving, kind, gentle and wonderful person and people couldn't accept him for what he was, they had to make something out of it. They couldn't just accept that he loved children, and had most of his childhood taken away, they couldn't just leave it at that, they had to call him a pedophile, they had to accuse him, they had to torture him. People are sick, with a sick mind and they have to make something sick out of even the most innocent situation. Its sad because it shows just how sick the world is. The world really needs someone like Michael, someone real, someone who is love, someone who cares, but in the end the world was just to selfish and greedy, and Michael was to good for this world

  • I agree with the first and answer. It's definitely unfair considering Micheal Jackson was proven innocent. When there was was proof that Elvis was guilty he still got the support Micheal should have gotten. This is a example of how bias and ignorant people and the media can be.

what i'm about to say isn't meant to bash elvis or michael, keep that in mind. but anyways, disregarding the two celebrities for a minute:

for some reason there are people who believe that it's sicker to molest boys than girls. it's misogynist and perverted, but those people just see it that way. like i said, it's subconsciously misogynist and homophobic and says something about the person's own psychology. whoever views it okay for an older person to sleep with a 14 year old girl, but the says that it's "disgusting" for an older person to sleep with a 14 year old boy, well THEY"RE the disgusting one. not only disgusting, but values males over females, and views gay people as sick/dangerous/perverted.

It's not. Michael was cleared of all charges, yet everyday ignorant idiots say awful stuff about him. None of them were, but wasn't Priscilla like only 14 when she started going out with Elvis?

You are comparing apples to oranges. Back in Elvis' day, it was not illegal for grown men to hit on little girls. Jerry Lee Lewis married his 13 year old COUSIN and had babies with her. Elvis, as we know, latched on to little pre-pubescent Priscilla and nobody did a thing about it. You know that if these big names did it, other people all over the country were doing it too with zero consequences.

It wasn't at all unusual either to see Dean Martin driving down the sidewalks of Las Vegas barking drunk, and people would run screaming. Never did he get so much as a ticket, let alone jail time, like Paris and Lindsay and Nicole. Times have changed. We take these things more seriously. I can promise you, many fathers molested their daughters in the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s, and nobody did a darn thing about it.

Michael's scandal came in the 90s, when law enforcement began taking these allegations seriously. Had these so-called molested little boys tried to file such a suit in the earlier years, they'd have been met with rolled eyes and crossed arms by the police.

It's all about the time we're living in, and not about the crime.
