You have a virus. This virus is known as the "Search Redirect Virus" and manipulates search results to redirect you from genuine links to advertisements and other irrelevant websites.

Malwarebytes cannot detect, and therefore remove, this virus because it infects computers in a totally unique way. The virus infects a few system files and changes the way the operating system uses the internet via the web browser. Conventional anti virus are not designed to deal with this kind of infection, they are only designed to detect malicious software running.

The virus works by altering a few settings in this system file. Since Google always takes you to another Google website before taking you onward to your actual link, this middle step can be intercepted by the virus. It takes advantage of this small flaw to redirect you. It can be extremely irritating as it only occurs sporadically.

In my experience of this virus, the only way to remove it is to manually remove it with the help of a program called ComboFix. This program finds the corrupt system file and restores it back to it's original state. You can find ComboFix, with an excellent tutorial, here:
