My 1992 toyota tercel standard(stick shift) won't start unless I get a push... Why?

I turn the ignition and car struggles to turn on but never does. When I get a big push I can start the car. But if the car turns off, in most cases when I slow down for a stop sign or red light. I can't get the car to start again unless someone Pushes me. What can be the problem???

Could be your air filter or fuel filter is dirty. Pushing the car is a lot more force than the starter. Besides, that's what's causing it to stall.

hi, have you ever tried checking the situation of the thermostat? The thermostat regulates the working temperature of the coolant on your motor vehicle so whilst your thermostat is defective it extremely is going to reason the coolant temp to upward thrust, thereby inflicting your engine to overheat. i might look at the thermostat (or have a gifted mechanic accomplish that) and replace it despite if it extremely is necessitated. thankfully on your accountant and/or wallet OEM thermostats could be bought for about $21 on the dealership and $sixteen at OEM discounted Toyota areas web pages. merely right of success to you along with your maintenance!
