hp laptop help? windows vista?

I have an hp laptop with windows vista and the taskbar with start button and the time and all that stuff is there but there was an icon that you could click and it would show all of your opened windows in a diagnal view. how do I get it back? thank you

    I haven't used Vista in a little while since I got Windows 7 but I would look in the control panel under appearance and personalization and there wil most likely be a taskbar thing that enables you to personalize it. If that does not work try clicking your start button then right-clicking somewhere where you do not have an icon and click properties...that or just right-click on the taskbar and do properties.

    With either of those methods look around every tab and checkable box and see if what you want is there.
