Apply ice pack for 10-15 minutes on and off for a few hours a day. This will decrease swelling and pain.
You should see a chiropractic doctor.....an undisputed expert in spine care.
He will x-ray (while standing) the region. apply ice packs and adjust and decompress the spine.
Pills are not the answer.

See your doctor, they will probably give you some good pain killers. Take them and wait for it to heal. There is nothing much else you can do.
