Besides the Spider House, what's another great coffee shop/hang out in Austin TX?
I love the Spider House for its fun, relaxed atmosphere. I can go there to read a book, paint or just people watch, and it doesn't matter how long I stay or if I buy anything. Plus, it's open to 2 am. The only downside to the Spider House is the smokers (my allergies can't take it any more). So, Austinites only, please help me find a new hang out...and don't say Barnes and Noble or Starbucks.

Austin Java or Lava Java come to mind. So does the Java Hut. There are a ton of them around; but it depends on where you live. I live to hang out at Star Seeds. Though it is not a coffee shop, it is great for local art work, great food and a good cup of joe!
