Just what exactly is wrong with "spreading the wealth"?
If someone has $100 million dollars, what is wrong with them giving you and me a few bucks, say a hundred grand. What's up with that? I don't know about you but i could use a 100 grand (an old boss who was fired used to say that).
Great answers! Thanks"only in America"!

37% is the highest income bracket for individuals
Ther is a popular short covering this topic.
"Suppose that every day 10 men go to a restaurant for dinner. The bill for all ten comes to $100. If it was paid the way we pay our taxes, the first four men would pay nothing; the fifth would pay $1; the sixth would pay $3; the seventh $7; the eighth $12; the ninth $18. The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59."
The 10 men ate dinner in the restaurant every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement until the owner threw them a curve. "Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily meal by $20." Now dinner for the 10 only costs $80. The first four are unaffected. They still eat for free. Can you figure out how to divvy up the $20 savings among the remaining six so that everyone gets his fair share? The men realize that $20 divided by 6 is $3.33, but if they subtract that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would end up being paid to eat their meal.
The restaurant owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same percentage, being sure to give each a break, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay. And so now the fifth man paid nothing, the sixth pitched in $2, the seventh paid $5, the eighth paid $9, the ninth paid $12, leaving the tenth man with a bill of $52 instead of $59.
Outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings. "I only got a dollar out of the $20," complained the sixth man, pointing to the tenth, "and he got $7!"
"Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got seven times more than me!"
"That's true," shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get $7 back when I got only $2? The wealthy get all the breaks!"
"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor."
Then, the nine men surrounded the tenth man (the richest one, paying the most) and beat him up. The next night the richest man didn't show up for dinner, so now the nine men sat down and ate without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They were $52 short!"
The main point is to not push the one who generates the most out of the system.

Once this 100 million dollar person gave you 100 thousand, who would you give 10,000 to?Would you share your wealth with some one you did not know? What if you had to earn the hundred thousand by working every day of your life and at the same time pay taxes on it and supporting your family would you still want to share it with a stranger?

What is wrong is the FORCING of those who are high earners to give their money away to those who are not.
What is wrong is the government stealing from those who make more and giving it away to people who have not earn it.
I have never understood this whole "have vs. have not" thing. Ever since people first banded together in a clan the guy with more skins or better tipped spears was the "rich" guy.
What is up with people saying everyone should earn the same or it is "not fair"? Do these people really think a heart surgeon should make the same money as a grocery clerk? Or a librarian should make the same money as the owner of a fast food franchise? WTF?

When you are the one with the money giving the $100 grand to everyone who wants a share, you will see the problem.

Well more than a couple of things. First it's not particularly good for anyone to be just given stuff they haven't earned it is poison to the soul. But its even worse if a third party decides to involve themselves in the wealth spreading.
If you reach in your own pocket and give someone a handout, that is called charity. If someone else reaches in your pocket that is called theft. That is the problem with wealth spreading before it can be spread it has to be confiscated. (Stolen) Then instead of a beneficiary you are a recipient of stolen goods.

Maybe liberals should just vote for Communism - that's really what Liberals want.
Let's make a deal Commie - you earn $100 million and then let us know how we should spread your wealth around, o.k?

Nothing is wrong if the person wants to do it; it's being forced to do it that is wrong. Earn your own way.

Prepare to be called an America-hating Marxist, lol.
To Republicans, it's spreading it from the poor and middle-class to the richest. "Spread" might not be the best word, perhaps "concentrate" is better.
