why does sodiam effect weight gain during period?

trying to drop a few pounds and wondering how sodiam effects weight gain

all the weight from your period goes away right

because i have been diet and exercising and GAINed weight

but i am starting my period so that could be it

    Sodium causes your body to retain more water, since it's salt. Salt dehydrates you. Most likely if you are on your period it's just bloating. I take a pill called Diurex every now and then to help prevent that, it will dehydrate you though so make sure you drink plenty of water. If you have been exercising it could be muscle build up, muscle weighs more than fat.

  • Sodium makes you retain water, which keeps on water weight.
