How will Dr.Wanger fair in CMLL since his jump to CMLL from AAA?

I'm not sure that Wagner DID go to CMLL. He did appear at a CMLL show in support of his son, and his contract with AAA IS up soon, but he is still AAA World Champ, and he did appear on last weekend's AAA TV show (I know AAA TV shows are a couple of weeks behind "real time").
But if he DOES sign with CMLL, it could signal a monumental shift in which promotion is the most dominant in Mexico. For decades, CMLL (or EMLL as it was known in the past) was the largest and most dominant promotion in Mexico. Quite a few years ago, Konnan left CMLL for AAA, and a lot of his friends followed him (including Rey Mysterio and Psicosis), giving AAA the most well-known stars in Mexico. AAA exploded almost overnight, overtaking CMLL and it has remained the largest and most dominant.
Dr Wagner Jr is arguably the most popular wrestler in Mexico, and perhaps the most powerful (politically-speaking) and influential (Konnan might still be THE most powerful, though). Where he goes, others are likely to follow. If that DOES happen, then CMLL could shortly overtake AAA as the biggest promotion in Mexico.
CMLL is very old-school traditional lucha libre; AAA is more like the WWE and TNA. Not necessarily "mainstream" but definitely more "modern" (one of the reasons for it's popularity). Wagner has been a big star for AAA for quite a while; should he and some of his AAA friends sign with CMLL, CMLL could likely see a shift from old-school traditional lucha libre to something more like AAA.
In any event, Wagner IS popular as hell. Should he sign with CMLL there should be a very noticeable increase in the number of CMLL fans.
CMLL's World Champ is rarely on CMLL TV shows. I don't know why that is, but it is. Wagner as CMLL World Champ would just have to be on TV. CMLL would be foolish not to feature this very charismatic and entertaining performer on their TV shows.
