i would like to know , if your mental health isnt good and you are on disiablity for it , and are getting?

married , does that mean they are going to take away your disability ? when you need it ? I have read before that they wont but now someone s tellng me that they will , Help please , am tryng to help my frend that s trying to get marred but cant lose hs disabilty

    If it is Disability Living Allowance he is in receipt of then he wont be effected as it is not a means tested benefit, its based on his actual care and mobility needs which is why he would have been awarded the benefit in the first place, so he should have nothing to worry about if he is Married :-) Hope this helps!

    I agree with the above but want to warn you that there are 2 kinds of disability in the US. SSI and Disability which has another name but I can't think of it now. If he is on SSI (meaning he has never worked) he WILL lose his benefits.

    I get DLA and I am married, I have paranoid schizophrenia and Aspergers. your friends partner can also get carers allowance for looking after them.
