WII games wont work. Wii Play Wii sports etc...?

Kids tried to play Wii today and 4 out of 6 games wont work. About a month ago we started doing Netflix ont he Wii and i had to connect the Wii to the internet (we never did that before) The movies play great and we hadnt played Wii since then and now almost all of our games say "unable to read disc". The discs are in perfect condition. Not sure what is going on. Anyone ever experienced this before? How do we fix it =(

Thanks

Update:

I thought maybe i was putting in the disc the wrong way but...no, it is the correct way. like I said a few discs will work but others will not. Very frusterating =(

Usually in these kinds of cases you would first want to look into buying the Wii Lens Cleaning Kit. Sometimes discs cannot be read properly due to residue from dust, smoke etc, that basically gets into the Wii. The cleaning kit will allow you to clean the optical lens inside the Wii which should fix any problems you are having with it being unable to read some of the Wii games IF it is not a technical issue. The cleaning kit can usually be bought for around $10 and can be bought straight from Nintendo or in stores such as Gamestop. It's usually a good thing to have one just in case.

If the problem is still not solved by using the cleaning kit, and you have inspected the discs that did not work (to check if any scratches or cracks on the rim and on the part of the disc that is read), if there are no scratches and whatnot on the discs and the cleaning kit fails to be of any use, then you may want to set up a repair order with Nintendo.

Hopefully the cleaning kit will solve the issue as it sounds like to me that it is most likely the case based off of my current assumption on how the Wii reads the Netflix disc. But in eithercase, good luck and hopefully this issue is resolved,

Make sure you insert the disc right. Insert it where the writing on the game is facing to the right. If your standing on the right side of the wii you should be able to see the title of the game when you insert it
