signing up for paypal?
paypal said it needs 2-3 days to confirm i am the owner of my account. my sister said she was able to make a paypal and buy in the same day. is what im going through normal with paypal?

It depends on what kind of account you signed up for.
If you signed up for an unverified account, then you should be able to use it right away. This type of account is not linked to your checking/savings accounts. This is what I have.
If you signed up for a verified account, it may take 2-3 days. This type of account links to your bank accounts and they may need to verify it with the bank. Don't know for sure because I do not have this type of account but it is reasonable to think it may take longer.
