Is tonight "someone help me find a cheap puppy!" night on Yahoo Answers? Don't go to a pet store. They're a bunch of fools who sell puppy mill puppies for more than most breeders charge, and the puppies are almost always sick or have some sort of inbreeding related neurological or physical defect. Pet store animals are like the biggest scam out there. Golden Retrievers are a dime a dozen. Not to say they aren't a great breed, but you can find them at any rescue shelter, because they are so common.

ETA: Honestly, being as common as they are unless you're going through some sort of breeder with oodles of champion titles in their puppies' pedigree you aren't going to find an excessively expensive Golden.

Unless you live in the high mountains in Arizona, a Golden Retriever wouldn't do well in Arizona's climate. Don't get me wrong, Goldens are great dogs, but you would have a much more comfortable and happier dog if you went with a short-haired breed, like a Boxer.

DON'T BUT PET STORE DOGS! Because you're supporting puppy mills and that dog could have a genetic disese from over breeding. Go to you're local Animal Shelter or Use pet finder alot of animal in shelters will be killed unless they find homes.
