Wie funktioniert Geolocation als Feature von HTML5?

Ich bin erstaunt, wie präzise sich darüber der Standort meines PCs ermitteln lässt:

Könnte es sein, dass mein Standort deshalb so exakt ermittelt wird, weil ich einen Komplettanschluss habe bei 1&1 (inkl. VoIP-Telefonie)? Aufgrund der aktiven WLANs in meiner Nachbarschaft kann ich mir eine Ortung eher nicht vorstellen, zumal es am ganzen Ort keine Public Access Points gibt...

Wieso ist Opera wesentlich präziser in der Ortung als Firefox und Chrome? Was macht Opera anders?

    Ich glaube Opera ist ein Server(Browser) von Google bin mir aber nicht ganz sicher.
