BQ: Who are your top 10 suggestions for the regular season MVP list?

1. Kevin Durant
He is on a rising team and is the main star. Hes only in his fourth season, and the kid's gonna be 22 when the season starts. He had a taste of the playoffs last year and has shown a desire to be better. I say he wins the scoring title and MVP.
2. Kobe Bryant
Even if some say he is on the decline, no one can deny this man's hunger. If you thought beating the Celtics was enough motivation for a fifth title, he has even more reason to win a sixth. He would tie with MJ for titles, further separate himself from Shaq, give Phil Jackson his fourth three-peat, and beat Lebron, Wade, and Bosh at the same time. His numbers might be down this year because of decreased minutes but they will still have the best record in the West.
3. Dwight Howard
This might be the year that Howard makes a big push for MVP. With all the attention going to Miami, he has been quietly working on his game. Back-to back defensive player of the year will certainly help his case.
4. Lebron James
Despite the newfound hatred in Lebron, no one can deny his talent. He is only entering his prime. Even beside Wade, Lebron will put up big numbers. They will be down from last year but only slightly.
5. Dirk Nowitzki
A re-energized Mavericks team will certainly give Dirk more motivation this year. After embarrassing losses in the playoffs, he will make sure his team gets the message.
6. Carmelo Anthony
Despite the rumors on where Anthony will end up in 2011, he is still a beast. Denver is still at the top-tier of the western conference. There are question on how Al Harrington will fit in with the team, but that shouldn't affect Melo's numbers too much.
7. Carlos Boozer
This might be a little too high because he has yet to play a game with his new team, but there is too much upside to this pick. There is no reason why Boozer can't duplicate the numbers he had last season, especially with Rose pushing to become part of the elite players.
8. Amar'e Stoudemire
This pick is based solely on the fact that Stoudemire is the best player on the Knicks. He will be asked to do a lot for the Knicks because of the loss of David Lee and because the Knicks have no proven playmaker besides him.
9. Deron Williams
Jerry Sloan will look to Williams to be the glue to the Jazz team. With Jefferson coming to town, Williams must be the catalyst to get him acclimated to the team.
10. Brandon Roy
Barring any injuries, Roy will return to his elite form. If the whole team is healthy, the Trailblazers should be up there with the rest of the West.
Honorable Mentions:
-Chris Paul
Trade rumors have damaged his rep, and the emergence of Collison will hurt his numbers.
-Stephen Curry
He is still sharing the backcourt with Ellis, and the Warriors won't have a good record this year. They will have a better record than last year, but will struggle to make the playoffs.
-Aaron Brooks
Sharing backcourt with Martin.
-Tyreke Evans
He needs a better supporting cast.
-Dwayne Wade

It's Kobe's to lose. The Lakers will likely get the best record. All he has to do is get his usual 27, 5, 5
I think the Thunder and Durant are going to have a let down season. Like a 46-36, 8th seed and Durant putting up a few less points (around 27 per game).
If Howard develops an offensive game, he'll be the best player in the league, hands down, but I think he'll be the same player this year.
Lebron's number will slip dramatically, unless he goes "Magic" on us with 25, 7, 10. In that case he wins it.

I think Dirk now has a great chance to get his second. Now that LeBron and Wade are playing together I think possibly who ever's team wins the west will get it. It could possibly be the person with the #2 seed in the west depending on what he did.
Their list is sold but I wouldn't put Dwight over Dirk. I don't think he brings to a team everything Dirk does. They should take Amar'e and Boozer off also. If there were to be an MVP on the Bulls it would be Rose. As for Amar'e he won't be the same without Nash and the Knicks won't have the record for him to be that high.

Amare Stoudemire is actually doing quite well this season. the trade was a good trade. haha i wonder how marion feels stuck at miami without wade now.. anyways i doubt he's gonna get MVP. But I have a strong feeling the Suns can win a championship this season the top people "I" think that might get it is Kobe T mac (if rockets finally make it to finals) Lebron Amare Stoudemire Kevin Garnett I believe suns can win the championships this year. check out tonights score. Shaq showed hes capable of doing that after scoring 23 and Amare Stoudemire killing it with 38

I think Durant is gonna win it, especially if the Thunder live up to expectations.
Kobe, Howard, Wade, Dirk, LeBron, Paul, Rondo, D. Williams, Carmelo and maybe Rose should all get at least one vote too.

It's LeBrick! Not! Kobe! Durant should not be MVP! More turnovers than assists and he is not even the ball handler for the Thunder!
