RAM 2GB to 3GB Vista question?

I currently have 2GB of ram and I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. Would buying another gig of RAM help Vista run faster at all, or will I not notice any difference?

    more RAM means more memory.

You will notice the start up time being a little faster and you will be able to run more programs at the same time without your system freezing.

Beware when upgrading, the frequency and the module cannot be mixed up of you want to make full use of the 3gb.

Also, if you wanna upgrade to 3gb, better if you use a 64 bit OS because better memory management.

One last tip - use windows 7 or XP. VISTA SUCKS!!!!

It wil vary big time considering do you have 64 bit vista? Because 32 bit doesn't allow more then two gbs of ram and you could also look if your hard drive is getting full and if your CPU is just getting over used of not for those things and the factors are there yes ram can boost your performance in multitasking programs I myself use 9gbs of ram and you can do endless multi tasking with it.

Another gigabyte should increase your speed. I only have one gig of RAM and my computer runs much slower than other computers with 3 gigs...Much slower.
