Why does the Catholic church not share the original writings of the new testament,what are they hiding from us?

What are these "original writings" you speak of? Are you talking about the books that were considered for insertion into the Bible, but were ultimately left out?

Hey, Nothing is being hidden! Go into ANY 'brick and morter' Catholic bookstore and you will find copies of those texts for sale - to the public - for your reading pleasure.

Why were those books left out? The answer is obvious - they were NOT SCRIPTURE.

Also, it is PAINFULLY OBVIOUS this is NOT why the Orthodox and Protestant Churche broke away. If it was, why haven't they inserted those books into their Bibles, seeing that (according to you) they think they're Scripture?

You are mistaken. Christians are divided over numerous things, but not for hiding writings. The New Testament books were actually written to and circulated among the churches that now comprise the Eastern Orthodox Church more so than within the Roman Church. The books of the New Testament are the same for all three groups.

Honestly, you don't have a clue what you're talking about. You don't need to be concerned with Biblical Hermeneutics at your stage in life, just keep the faith as best you can (if that's your path).

Original writings of the New Testament are still in the possession of the Catholic Church, in the archives of the Vatican. For crying out loud.....

The Old Testament is there, too. From way WAY back. You and I and everyone else on Yahoo will not have access to those documents to check them out. Nor do I need to, and neither should you or anyone else.

I too enjoyed the Dan Brown books, especially the Lost Symbol -- the last book -- where the kingpin Mason's son cuts off his father's hand and tries to get him to sacrifice himself in a pagan ritual at the end of the book. (That was a great book, really, who would think the evil guy was the Mason's son morphed into a new physique by steroids and disguise?!) But honestly, you sound like someone who has gotten his notion of fact from Dan Brown. He's the LAST place you get facts. So here in Mythology, you're in the right spot!!! =)

You seem pretty confused. The Catholic Church established the Bible. The New Testament is what it is. There is nothing hidden. The Protestant Churches simply cut out about five books completely that did not agree with their interpretation of things. The Catholics are not hiding anything. The Protestants decided to hide several entire books.

The Catholic Church have actually removed pages,chapters and entire books from the bible, So that the Catholic Church could keep all of those magical spells to them selves and so the Catholic Church can be see as the only church that has a direct line to God ... Well they failed rather badly and a multitude of people suffer rather badly from their miscalculations.... And one of the greatest lies that the Holy Roman Catholic Church every told the people was that GOD gave them the permission to remove all of those book from the bible.......

The rest of the books are available to the public. There is nothing hidden.

they are hiding much, for one jesus was a man and love a women also the strength of women, also that theres no reason to believe that theres is the only true religion and that we are in fact all connected also its a man made religion and that jesus would not have wanted his teachings to become a religion. and other things but hey what do i know i'm just another guy.
