HELP!? Trying to find out what kinda bug this is?!?

It's a bug with 6 legs (I think) and it's body is yellow-ish and sectioned into parts. The head-thing is pure black with pinchers and it grabbed onto anything i put in front of it. It had a very flexible body and didnt die when we put it in the toilet (haha :D ) Can you please tell me what kinda bug it is?! Btw, it is 1/2" long and we live in Ohio! Thanks!! (=

    sounds like an earwig. This is just a guess
