If you went to the Islamic University of Madinah?

After the two year arabic program, what faculty would you go in and why.

These are the Faculties:

Faculty of Islamic Law (Shariah)

Faculty of Islamic Theology (Usool Ad Deen wad Dawah)

Faculty of Hadith

Faculty of Quran

Faculty of Arabic Language

Update:

Don't forget to mention WHY

Update 2:

My thoughts:

Ibn Taymiyyah: Every subject has its scholars, and the best, most knowledgable, trust worthy, and religious of them are those of Hadith.

Update 3:

@Melnazar those other subjects can be found anywhere in the world and studying them does not really bring the change that knowledgeable muslims bring to the community, maybe you study biology and cure cancer, but we study the religion and cure the heart

Update 4:

sisters i really wish you could be able to go but the university doesnt accomodate female students. But it allows the wives of the students to live with them so if you have a husband that goes there let him teach you what he learns

Generally, yes, the Arabic program is two years, but I've known brothers who did it in a year and a half or even a year because they excelled :-)

The Faculty of Shariah I heard, is the most popular out of all there in the university. So is the Faculty of Hadith, but I think they're way too hard for me. Both are widely accepted by students and non-students to be the most difficult in terms of workload and memorization, what not with the masses of Hadith and long chains of isnad, and books and books of fatawaa's!

But if I had to choose, I'd choose the Faculty of the Qur'an because I've been long interested in the Tafsir area. I mean, to think that some of the early mufassirs like Ibn Abbas, Al-Qurtubi, At-Tabari, etc. used to spend months and months to explain just even one Ayah is just profound. The study of the Qur'an is never ending. It's definitely something I'd go for. Plus, they teach you the science of recitation of the Qur'an in all its ten recognized schools (the ten Qira'at). However, there is a prerequisite to this course. You must have memorized the Qur'an in its entirety before you enter this course.

That, or the Arabic language. With all there is to know about the rules of classical Arabic poetry, I might be able to extend its use to pick up a wife for once. Every sister likes a good poet for a husband, eh? 8-)

i would love to opt all of them. As u asked to choose any one of them, then i would opt for Faculty of Islamic Theology (Usool Ad Deen wad Dawah).

i chose this because, today we need more people for Dawah. By this way we can spread the message of Islam through out the world. More people would be invited into Islam.
