Okay...Who is the greatest player in the history of your favorite baseball team?

Cubs: IMO Ernie Banks.

Update:

Mark Grace??? What?

Mark Grace over Ryne Sandberg, Billy Williams, Ron Santo and Fergie Jenkins?

I like Ernie Banks but I gotta go with Ryne Sandberg for the Cubbies.

Dude you took mine and it's hard enough being a Cubs fan.

Man did we stink this weekend and in Colorado

    2nd Choice Mark Grace

Sorry dude, Sandbergs great, Got to meet Santo what a gracious person. had time to talk to a fan like me one of the best days of my life.

But I played first base for a long time so I watched Grace closer than others

  • This is easy:

    Robin Yount - Milwaukee Brewers

Still considered by many to be the 5th best short stop all time in the MLB. He's definitely up there.

Played his entire 20 year career with the Milwaukee Brewers starting at 18, first ballot Hall of Fame.

Stats to solidify his place: He is the Brewers all-time leader in games played (2856), at bats (11008), runs (1632),hits (3142), doubles (583), triples (126), home runs (251), RBI's (1406).

Special mention to my all time favorite player- Paul Molitor who I believe is the 2nd best player to ever play for the Brewers. Some people might argue this, but I'm not budging.

Edit: I agree with you 100% on Banks for the Cubs. To me, this is also an easy choice. Mr. Cub...that says it all.

I would have to say Robin Yount, although if you include the Milwaukee Braves (just because they're another Milwaukee team...) I would say Hank Aaron.

Jenn pretty much covered everything about Yount. He was one of the best SS's in baseball for so long. Not many that could hit like him.
