Not sure about pro bono work, but you can look at Avvo to get free legal advice from a lawyer in your area, or find a lawyer in your area who will be willing to help with your case.

Contact your state board, or contact different lawyers in your area. More than likely you're not going to find one though as people aren't going to want to work for nothing... especially if it's not going to be a high profile case.

if it's a personal injury/medical malpractice type case they are ALL pro bono. They will just take a portion of your settlement/judgement that you win at trial.

depends on the type of case ... they like cases that gives them publicity
