Is this a good karate class/dojo?

I want to go learn traditional karate and train myself to be fit and good at striking and self-defence. Im a bit shy but this should also help me overcome that. I was thinking of going to this dojo as its nearby - http://www.goju.com.au/ - im not experienced with this sort of stuff but on the website it has the teachers and description of what they teach and stuff... i would appreciate it if someone smarter then me in the field of martial arts could tell me if this class seems like a good legit class not one of those cheap crappy ones i have heard about?

This club sound interesting. But I agree with the other poster. You should visit the dojo and observe some of their classes. Afterward you should take a trial class if they offer those. This will better help you in making an educated decision. I would also suggest that you visit a few other martial arts dojo near you and do the same. Then pick the best one for you that you can afford. Don't allow style to dictate the one you choose. Always go with the best instructor you can find.

    I wish you the best.

best thing you could do is to actually go to a dojo that you're interested in and ask if you can sit in one session. I know some crap dojos the senseis don't do crap and have model students teach (well, you'll most likely be thrown around/beat up by some senpais but don't worry about that)

It looks good. Theres sparring, its well priced, I would just try a class and then decide but it seems good.
