I still don't know what is happening!!!!?

My last question that I posted said that my truck kept cutting out at high rpm. All my answers on that questions said that I should change the spark plugs. I did that today. My truck is still missing out, but it does run better and go into overdrive like it should.

1992 Dodge Ram D150 with a 5.2L 318 Magnum.

So far I've replaced the distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, plug wires, and the pick up coil.

So I was thinking that it could be either the ignition coil, or the distributor itself.

Any input would be much appreciated by anyone.

I LOVE YOU DODGE MAN!

the reason it may not go in to over drive like it should could be a bad temperature sensor on it or something in the transmission causing it ,the running problem just about has to be a bad coil on it since you already replaced everything else on it,id try one, when a coil heats up will shut one off until it cools back off again, the over drive problem could be related to a bad throttle position sensor on it,that will cause the transmission not shift right on it,that or the throttle cable isn't adjusted right on it or the over drive switch is going out on it,if its running bad enough that alone will make it not go in to over drive the way it should, good luck with it,

If you're the guy from about a week ago pushing the engine to 5000+ RPM, you're getting into the limiter, in other words "that's all there is, there ain't no more."

Short of reprogramming your ECM you're not going to get anymore out of it.
