Brown discharge after period.?

Does everyone get this? I use to never get it at all and then a year ago I started getting it and I'm 31 years old. Sometimes it's very short and sometimes it lasts for 2 or 3 days. I've had bacterial infections before and had brown discharge with that as well so how do I know it's left over from my period or an infection?

It is left over blood. Sometimes you get an infection because the blood is old and breaking down. Plus, it takes a long time so it sits at the opening of the vaginal wall for awhile.

The sounds like "old" blood. At the end of your cycle, it is normal to have an "older" blood. This is normal
