You can only delete open questions. Once questions are resolved they can never be deleted. If however you have a question that is still in voting, your only chance of getting that deleted is to vote "No best answer" and the majority of the votes have to be "No best answer" otherwise it will not get deleted and will become resolved or stay in tie breaker.

Once resolved or in voting you can't delete them.

To delete a question while it's still open, go to the question , pass your mouse over the pencil icon in the toolbar below your question, click Delete Question.

All you can do is hope it is reported as a violation . Even resolved questions can be removed that way. you could try emailing the YA team y_answrs_team@yahoo.com however in my opinion it would be a waste of time and most likely accomplish nothing since your question is asked several times every day.

For answers: Return to your answer click delete right side on the bar below your answer. You have to do it before the question has gone to voting or is resolved. If the question is resolved the only way it could be deleted would be if it was reported as a violation.

  • You can't delete all of your questions & answers at once. You can delete your open questions, and your answers to open questions, but you can only do them one at a time.

You can only delete questions that you asked, and you can only do that while they are still 'open'. Once a question is in 'voting' or has been resolved via a Best Answer being chosen, the question belongs to Y!A and is in their database forever (or until they start archiving old Q&As anyway).

You can also email Yahoo Customer services at y_answers_team@yahoo.com or y_answrs_team@yahoo.com and ask for them to delete the question for you. In your email include the link to the question you want deleted, explain why you want it deleted and ask them to delete it for you

To delete your question while it's still open, go to the question page, pass your mouse over the pencil icon in the toolbar below your question, and click on Delete Question.

Even if you delete your entite Yahoo account (email, mssenger, flickr, etc), your questions & answers remain out here.

    You can't.

Deleting your account won't do it.

Deleting your email won't do it.

You can delete OPEN questions using the 'edit' link under the question.

Everything else stays here on YA as part of their database.
