I got this message on my computer "Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low". Can someone tell me what I need to do?

My computer is running really slow also, could this be part of the problem?

you need a RAM increase, though you can go to the control panel (these instructions are for xp) and switch to icon/classic view, then go to system and to advanced. then to performance and then advanced. then click the change button at the bottom. bullet custom size and set the minimum to 1024 and the max to either 2048 or 4096. now apply and ok everything and reboot.

this will help you run faster and not get so many errors. though you should eventually get more ram. Your system will use virtual memory in place of ram when the ram gets low.

    hope this helps.

Virtual memory is hard disk space that Windows uses when it runs out of system RAM. And your programmes will slow to a crawl if they have to use virtual memory.

The best solution is to install more system RAM.

But u can up the amount of virtual memory by changing it in your system settings. This setting is in the "Advanced System Settings" under the "Advanced" tab.

Yes. Install more RAM. Virtual memory is space on your hard drive that Windows uses for extra RAM. Check your hard drive capacity... it may be getting full.

you can increase the amount of virtual memory in Control Panel, System... but it's a stop-gap measure.

Delete temp files and internet temp files...

Don't run many applications at once...

You can go to crucial.com to find the correct RAM upgrade for your computer.

You need more RAM. "Virtual Memory" is memory created by the hard-disk that programs use to run. When you run out of it, it will dump all the current Virtual Memory in use, making you an unhappy camper. I suggest you make sure you have at least 4GB of RAM
