Is there a difference between a phone cord and a DSL cord?
I already have a DSL cord that runs from my phone jack to the back of my modem, but it's not very long and I'm looking to move my computer, and I'm afraid it won't reach. I have an extra phone cord that would be long enough and what I was wondering is if DSL could run through a phone line cord or do you have to have the specific DSL cord to run the internet? And, if so, can you buy longer lengths of that specific cord?

The cord from the modem to the wall jack IS a standard telephone cord, although the QUALITY of the cord might be somewhat better.

Phone has 4 wires, DSL 2; but the placement of the colors within the terminals (red and green, therefore connections) is the same.
Only R & G are used on either.
They are interchangeable.
