You may be able to play the melody and several notes.

Try listening to the music you want to play beforehand, and you can discern which notes you "should" play.

If you're beginning on the violin, I suggest you try to play sheet music made especially for violin. It's not too expensive-there's some good free sheet music at imslp.org. If you're a beginner, you might try some of the music in the suzuki method books. There are plenty of discussions about violin music of all levels.

Good luck in learning to play such a beautiful instrument!

Pretty sure you can, but I'm guessing depending on the music piece, the song may not come out as intended since the sheet music was originally for piano. Try it out and see what happens! Overall, i should sound nice! Good luck!

Yes, the violin can play the melody in the treble (top) clef of the grand staff.

You can play the melody and maybe some double stops

... but you're not going to be playing the full piano score.

if you're talking about the melody then yeah. the full score? of course not. just get someone to accompany you. you can also just play to a recording
