Paul Menard making move to RCR. What do you think?

Menard just signed multi year deal to leave RPM to become RCR's fourth team. How do you think he will fit in at RCR. Can he be compete for a championship with RCR? Where does this leave RPM?

Wow that is pretty cool. You know what that means--- $ for RCR (to get that 4th car out on the track) and a sure fire sponsor. But I actually like Paul and think he really has improved this year and is trying to get out of the image of 'his daddy's money' and get recognized as a NASCAR driver.

I don't think they will get rid of him like they did Casey Mears (I like Mears too) because of the financial stability he will provide RCR. In conclusion, I think that is great for Paul and RCR!

That leaves RPM--SOL and I do think they will cup back to 2 cars next year because of $ but that is a totally different ball of wax.

He'll do better than Mears did at RCR (I would say 'no offense' to Mears fan, but then they're also a Menard fan) but I feel like Menard is becoming a source of revenue instead of a viable Chase driver. Does Richard Childress really need a fourth car? All three cars are on the verge of making the Chase in three out of four seasons, and one reason they missed it in 2009 was the expansion to three teams. So that's why I'm thinking the Menards team may be a ticket to increased funding for RCR.

Only intent RCR does not have 4 groups proper now could be given that they could not discover a substitute sponsor for Mears' vehicle. Take a second and appear at Mears' completing list for the moment part of 2009. There was once a well stretch of races wherein Mears was once the fine completing RCR vehicle, very frequently being within the best 15. All Childress demands to get his 4th group again at the monitor is cash, and Paul Menard might convey a host of it with him.

The sponsorship is the reason. I think it will not really help him to move. I can't see the people at RPM/Yates going with him. AJ Allemndinger is signed, Sadler could come back, and I keep hearing the Marcos Ambrose is going to RPM. I think Menard will be the odd man out at RCR because the other 3 drivers are Top 12. I'd be interested in hearing exactly why he is leaving Petty.

I don't think that Paul Menard will do much better than any of his other years next year. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up making the chase with the equipment that RCR has. He's 22nd in points right now, and only races because he's got a free sponsor in his Dad's business (Menards).

He will maybe win 1 race next year. It would probably be on a pit gamble.

It might be a good move for Menard. I think he has potential he just hasn't found the right car and the right team yet. Maybe RCR will be good for him.

I guess I didn't see this one coming. Paul Menard would not have been my first choice, but then I'm not Richard Childress nor do I have Richard's brilliance for choosing drivers. I like Paul Menard and I wish him well. There are just other drivers that I would have rather seen selected for that ride. Competitive for a championship...not right away.

I'd say Justin Allgaier's Father doesn't own a chain of home improvement store's.

it may do it for him or it may not. but he`s not what i would call destined to be a great driver.
