Good effort dude but none of these trades will be good enough to make them Conference final contenders?

CP3 won't be happy with just adding Trevor Ariza even though it's a definite improvement to the team. They need more to beat teams like the Lakers? Maybe hey should consider AI as a back-up? ;P

Pacers gain leadership but lose their major scorer?

The Nets need leadership more than another scorer.

The Rocket lose the gravity of the team, namely Trevor Ariza.

I think this is a good overall trade, yet complicated at best, so i'll break it down by team...

    New Orleans Hornets:

All this summer was about CP3 getting traded at some point and now it's not likely going to happen anytime soon. The arrival of Ariza (14.9 PPG) should provide some boost the Hornets need at the SF position, which would have projected to have Peja starting if the trade didn't happen. Of course, trading Collison leaves Chris Paul as the only PG on the team at this point and any backup they

sign gives an indication that they want Paul to stay for the long run.

    PG Chris Paul

    SG Marcus Thronton

    SF Trevor Ariza

    PF David West

    C Emeka Okafor

    Indiana Pacers:

The Pacers are plague with PG trouble since releasing Jammal Tinsley. T.J. Ford, who was suppose to solve that problem, was plague with injuries and Earl Watson didn't do any better replacing him. Enter Darren Collison, who expected to take over the PG duties after the fine season he had with New Orleans. Trading Troy Murphy in the process was a salary dump, which open space for Mike Dunleavy to convert to PF, while giving some minutes to Josh McRoberts and rookie Paul George at that position.

    PG Darren Collison

    SG Brandon Rush

    SF Danny Granger

    PF Mike Dunelavy Jr.

    C Roy Hibbert

    New Jersey Nets:

This was about the Nets getting somebody in the post-Decision era, where they had no luck after July 8. Here's the list of acquisition under the new owner...

    - Travis Outlaw

    - Anthony Morrow

    - Jordan Farmar

These are quality players but not enough for the Nets to fill some seats. Enter Troy Murphy, who gives a presence of a big name that could help Brook Lopez in the frontcourt, while allowing rookie Derrick Favors to learn the game slowly before taking over at some point. Getting rid of Lee was no surprise, considering that he wouldn't have minutes to play with the arrival of Outlaw and Morrow.

    PG Devin Harris

    SG Anthony Morrow

    SF Travis Outlaw

    PF Troy Murphy

    C Brook Lopez

    Houston Rockets:

The Rockets were heading straight toward the luxury tax if they kept Ariza, so getting a cheaper replacement on Courtney Lee save the Rockets some money while still being competitive.

    PG Aaron Brooks

    SG Kevin Martin

    SF Courtney Lee

    PF Luis Scola

    C Yao Ming

I like the Pacers in this deal, even though they took a giant contract from Posey. Collison isn't a wash up PG like the previous Pacers were and expectation wasn't high in Indiana, so getting rid of Murphy was something they needed to open up minutes while saving up money to rebuild.

Not sure about all the details (i.e cap space, contracts, etc) But I like the move from Indiana's perspective because they nab an up and coming pg that they desperately need. I'm 50/50 on the Hornets move. Good trade if CP3 signs an extension, if not then the Hornets lose there future pg but till net a solid wing player in Ariza. I like the move for the Nets, Murphy is one of the best shooting bigs and can cause some matchup problems on the perimeter. Not sure what the Rockets get out of this deal, I suppose they free up some cap space for the long run.

The Hornets, they are getting Trevor Ariza. Troy Murphy is alright, and I think the Pacers are getting a good deal too because they are getting Collison, and the Rockets get Courtney Lee. I think this benefits them all.

i would think think the hornets or the pacers but overall the hornets b/c trevor ariza can be a guy that makes huge plays when it counts like he did in the 09 finals with the lakers.

the only real ingredient in this commerce is Ariza to New Orleans by using fact now New Orleans has a protecting swingman who can knock down the exterior shot alongside with the addition of Marco Bellinelli they are going to be a much extra effective capturing team with a healthful Peja and Chris Paul back in the lineup. i think of they're going to do good this season yet won't make the playoffs by using fact the West is only too aggressive now. communities like New Orleans and Memphis are good yet can no longer shelter something of the western convention.
