Is there a worse defender in the NBA then Nash?

I would like to hear from everyone, but this was intended for the user named "Steve Nash is the best player in..." You know that Nash can not be the best player in the league if he can not play defense and stinks unless he is playing in an up-tempo offense, right?

Update:

Leaders win rings. Leaders are guys that the followers (Marion, Amare) want to play with.

So a big YES to there are better leaders in the NBA.

  • Wow you are an idiot. Nash is a very solid defender. If you actually watched suns games from this season, you would know that Nash and the Suns played far less run and gun and more traditional basketball. He may not have the size and athletic ability to totally shut guys down, but he's pretty quick, smart, and tough as nails.

    What's next, are you going to say Brandon Jennings is better than Andrew Bogut? Stop watching ESPN highlights and respect the truly great players.

    Yes Steve Nash is not a great defender. Rondo, Kirk, and Deron, Chauncy are good PG defenders. To be the best player in the world or at least to be the best PG in the world you have to be great in both ends of the court.

    @Rainman

    That is why he has 5 championship ring. And listen to his team mates. Gasol, Odom, and Fisher.

    According to Gasol it is a privileged to play with him, and he accepts that Kobe is his leader. Fisher stayed because of Kobe he said it in his tweeter, and Odom said that Kobe is the god of basketball.

    So if he is not a great leader why do those players that stick with him succeeds? For example Shaq he didn't stick with Kobe and look at what happened to him now. Jumping on different teams. He is not satisfy with Wade who only gave him 1 lone ring. But if he stay with Kobe he probably have a great legacy now. Staying in one team and playing along side with the greatest player in the world right now.

    um black mamba there is a better defender. his name is dwyane. he single handedly led his team to the playoffs again and again since winning the 2006 championship. and he didnt have the supporting cast like kobe did. kobe has fisher odom gasol and bynum. dwyane had shawn marion, quientin richardson, and jermaine oneal. all in diff. years.

    he is a horrible defender. the opposing point guard is usually in for a big night when they play the suns. that's one reason he should have never won an mvp.

    probably not. Nash is a horrible defender.

  • is there a better leader in the NBA than Nash?

    there is no better, book it.

    ur "black mamba" was a lockerroom nuisance for quite a while b4 getting a great team 2 play with.

    maybe jordan farmar.

    that guys pisses me off with his defense. he doesnt slide side to side, he runs next to his opposing player
